Silverstone is a son of Champion du Lys, who won many Grand Prix with Ludger Beerbaum and was also twice the winner of the Derby of Hamburg. Furthermore, we find the two-time Olympic stallion Carthago, who also sires strongly in the jumping direction. Then the Ramiro x Gotthard son, Renomee, who also sired more international jumping horses. The thoroughbreds Thuswin xx and Anblick xx provide the necessary blood.
The dam Marthago is a real Holsteiner brood mare. She became ‘Keur’ and she received three 8’s and a 9 for jumping in her EPTM test. Grand dam Aline is the dam of the stallion Laralle and the international jumping horse Corniola.
Silverstone received the highest points, during the Stallion Test, ever for jumping in years: scope 9 - technique 8½ - scope 9½ and talent for jumping 9. He finished in 1st place for jumping and a 3rd place in the total classification.
With Dennis van Tilburg Silverstone was amazing in the stallion competitions. He won the stallion competition 2006/2007, in this competition he won with rider Dennis van Tilburg 3 out of the 4 qualification rounds. In the Stallion competition of 2005/2006 he placed 2nd.
Silverstone’s offspring show how to jump. His oldest crop become 6 this year and are performing very well at the national shows so far. His son Winston was Dutch Champion of the 4 year old jumpers. The mares Amina VDL, Zolivia VDL and Zoxalis were selected for the finals of the Dutch Free Jumping Championship. His daughters Ziewica van de Hermitage and Zanzare became Provincial Champion. Coco Chanel placed 7th in the final of the Dutch Foal Championship. Wim
placed 5th in the jumping bred final of the stallion approvals, Bridgestone RV was Champion of the foal show in Tolbert and Amazing RV was Reserve Champion of the foal show in Tolbert.
Also his offspring scored well in the top five of the KWPN-NA rankings this year. Daytona placed 4th in the class for the jumping bred foals, Whomantha B won the ISF Cup for 4 year old jumper mares & geldings and Brimstone placed 2nd of the 2 years old jumper colts.
