The talented Chopano is a son of the very interesting Grand Prix-showjumper Chopin VA. Ridden by Mathilda Karlsson, the Casall-son Chopin makes a big impression at the highest level and his oldest offspring seem excellent. Last year, the sons of Chopin jumped in the spotlight at the various stallion approvals, including Chopano himself. At international top level, Chopin impresses with his endless scope, rideability and excellent jumping technique; with Mathilda Karlsson he participated in 2019 in the largest competitions in the world, such as Falsterbo, Stockholm, St. Tropez, Knokke, Hamburg and Rome. Chopano's dam's sire Cassini I is undeniably one of the most influential stallions of his generation and the same goes for great-grandsire Caretino. Top sires Lord, Cor de la Bryere and the thoroughbred Sacramento Song xx complete Chopano's pedigree.
Chopano's dam Tamara XIII already produced the international 1.50m-showjumper Zooey of the British Georgia Tame, while her grandson Chinchero - also a son of Chopin VA - became vice-champion of the Holsteiner Stallion Show and was sold for 400,000 euros in the auction. Chopano’s granddam Niveau I produced several international showjumpers and approved stallions, including the 1.50m-classified Valetta V (Lisa Zoller). In addition, Level I is the half-sister of the 1.50m showjumper Calato’s Charles (Veronica Bot) and the full sister of 1.60m showjumper Casseur de Prix of USA's Jenni McAllister.
At the Zangersheide Stallion Show in Lanaken, Chopano stood out with his impressive conformation, great way of jumping and seemingly endless scope. The Chopin-son therefore earned his breeding license with ease and with his interesting pedigree, appearance and jumping technique he seems to be an asset to breeding.
