We visited with the Family van der Koppel!
Mr. Tonni van der Koppel, Wadenogen. Now in his 70's, Mr. van der Koppel has been breeding horses for more than 50 years. He was a visionary in the years after World War II in modernizing the Gelderlander and Groninger into a sporthorse. He likes a good type and a good mover. Breeder of Wanroij (Symfonie x Nolda x Jagermeester), the KWPN approved stallion in America at DG Bar. Breeder of Avontuur, the international Grand Prix dressage horse ridden by American Katheen Raine. Owner of the 2000 Champion 3 year old mare, Pabola (Ferro x Darwin). Breeder of the Hengstenkeuring 2000 reserve champion (Kennedy x Darwin).
